Job Summary:
United Diamond Contractors & Trading (UDCT) is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Technical Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This role is critical in reviewing and developing mechanical systems—including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing—ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and coordination across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting system calculations for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze design documents, BOQs, specifications, and contracts received from the tender department.
- Prepare and submit RFIs for unresolved or conflicting technical information.
- Propose value engineering solutions that optimize cost and efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Prepare and submit shop drawings, ensuring coordination with procurement and follow-up until Code B approval.
- Attend technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical, and Civil departments to produce integrated coordination drawings.
- Support the Architectural team with ceiling and looking-up coordination drawings.
- Provide ongoing technical support to site construction teams.
- Manage material submittals, quantity surveys, and variation orders through to final approval.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on site feedback and construction markups.
- Assist planning teams with project scheduling and time management.
- Conduct site checks for structural verification in renovation projects.
- Manage documentation for Testing & Commissioning (TOC) and project closeout.
- Provide accurate material take-offs in coordination with site execution teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical office role—preferably within construction or EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
