Product overview
The VES VF2016-00 Multi-Criteria Smoke & Heat Sensor uses combined multi-spectrum smoke sensing and thermistor heat sensing to report conditions to a compatible fire alarm control panel. The detector, mounting base and panel must be selected as a compatible combination, with sensitivity and alarm functions configured for the approved design. The model-specific supply, current and environmental data below supports device selection and loop power calculations.

Key features
- Model: VF2016-00
- Sensing method: Multi-spectrum photoelectric smoke detection plus thermistor heat detection
- Manufacturer-listed approvals: UL 268, 7th edition; UL 521, 7th edition; exact configuration applies
Applications
Locations where the approved detection strategy calls for combined smoke and heat sensing on a compatible addressable system.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
