Product overview
The VES VF2020 and VF2021 are conventional electronic heat detectors with different fixed-temperature thresholds and a rate-of-rise function. The selected detector must be coordinated with a compatible listed base and supervising control panel. The manufacturer describes these devices for property protection and expressly cautions against relying on heat detectors alone for life-safety protection. Bases are ordered separately.

Key features
- Models: VF2020-00 / VF2021-00
- Detection method: Fixed-temperature / rate-of-rise electronic heat detection
- Fixed thresholds: VF2020: 135°F ± 7.5°F; VF2021: 190°F ± 7.5°F
Applications
Property-protection heat detection where the approved fire strategy calls for the selected temperature threshold. Required smoke or other life-safety detection remains part of the complete design.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
