Product overview
The VES VF2045 and VF2046 are conventional multi-spectrum photoelectric detectors using infrared and blue light to evaluate smoke characteristics. The VF2046 additionally includes thermistor heat detection, while the VF2045 is the smoke-only version. Both require a compatible listed detector-base and control-panel arrangement. Selection must distinguish the heat function, physical height, circuit current limits and approved operating conditions for the exact model.

Key features
- Models: VF2045-00 smoke / VF2046-00 smoke and heat
- Sensing method: IR and blue light photoelectric sensing; thermistor on VF2046 only
- Operating / absolute maximum voltage: 8–35 V DC / 42 V DC
Applications
Conventional fire alarm installations using the documented VF2050 or VF2051 base and compatible panel. Select smoke-only or combined smoke-and-heat detection according to the approved strategy.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
