Product overview
The VES VF4990 Multi-Flex range combines a compatible detector mounting arrangement with local audible notification. Separate versions serve the documented addressable and conventional sensor families. The sounder requires an external power supply, and its synchronization and general-alarm operation depend on the selected interface arrangement. Calculate the detector, sounder and synchronization-module loads separately and verify the current listing status for the exact combination.

Key features
- Range: VF4990 Multi-Flex sounder-base family
- Addressable variant: MD-SDRT-AA for Discovery or XP95A
- Conventional variant: MB-SDRT-CV for the documented Series 65 or Series 60A combination
Applications
Local audible indication around compatible smoke-detector locations where the approved system design permits the selected sounder-base, power and synchronization configuration.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
