Product overview
The VES VF5013 and VF5014 are analogue photoelectric duct smoke-sensing arrangements for compatible HVAC and fire alarm integration. Sampling tubes bring duct air to the sensing chamber, with tube selection depending on duct width. The VF5014 adds relay functions and requires an auxiliary 24 V DC supply. Select the unit, sampling arrangement and control interface as part of the approved air-handling and fire alarm design.

Key features
- Models: VF5013-00 / VF5014-00 with relays
- Application: Photoelectric duct smoke detection for compatible HVAC / fire alarm integration
- Operating loop voltage: 17–41 V DC
Applications
Smoke monitoring in commercial, industrial and residential HVAC ducts within the documented air-velocity range. Duct sensing supports the approved air-handling control strategy and does not replace required open-area detection.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
