Product overview
The VES VF5602 Discovery is an addressable heat sensor using a thermistor to measure local air temperature. It does not provide smoke sensing. Five response modes offer the documented fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise arrangements, which must be selected for the normal temperature changes and fire strategy of the protected space. The detector, compatible base and panel configuration form one system, and heat-detector spacing must be established for the selected mode.

Key features
- Model: VF5602-00
- Detection principle: Single thermistor heat sensing; not a smoke detector
- Compatible panel family: Elite / Elite RS with the documented Apollo-protocol configuration
Applications
Compatible designs requiring heat detection where normal dust, fumes or temperature conditions influence the permitted detection method. Select fixed-temperature or rate-of-rise behaviour according to the approved application.
Selection and project integration
Share the fire alarm drawings, equipment schedule, compatible panel platform and cause-and-effect requirements with UDCT. Selection should confirm device protocols, supported interfaces, circuit supervision, power and standby calculations, and the exact enclosure or module arrangement.
Use the current manufacturer documentation to check compatibility, wiring limits, software requirements and approval scope. Commissioning should verify the configured alarm, fault, indication and control functions as part of the complete system. Remote reporting also requires a compatible receiving service and confirmation of local network availability.
